How do I book?
To secure your date I require you to sign a contract and pay a £200 booking fee. The outstanding balance is payable up to 28 days prior to your wedding date. You can call me on 07921828111 or email me at matthewrlesage@gmail.com to chat some more.
What style of photographs will I get?
I will discuss that specifically with you before the big day as your preference is what is important, but I specialise in a natural and candid style of photography that documents the day as it unfolds. There’s always space for formals if you so wish. The photographs themselves can be edited in colour, black and white, sepia and or matt to name a few. All photographs will be digitally enhanced and colour corrected to complement each one individually. But if you want any specific one changed from colour to black and white for example, then just ask, I will be happy to oblige where possible.
How far will you travel?
I am based on the Wirral, in the North West of England, I would be happy to travel to any UK or international destination to be there for your perfect day. For any distance over 50 miles from the Wirral, this would incur an additional cost which would have to be discussed individually according to needs and specific distance, but may include additional mileage costs and/or overnight stays to ensure photography services can commence on the day without issue.
Travelling internationally would mean having to factor in getting to the destination at least one day before the ceremony; this would allow time to cover any unforeseen events which may delay me getting to you.
How long do I have to wait before I get my pictures?
I will aim to get all pictures back to you within 6 - 8 weeks, but this may be longer during busier periods. I do not want to rush the editing process so please bear with me whilst I bring out the very best in all your photos.
How many photos will I receive?
Depending on what happens on the day I aim to provide 500 to 800 fully edited photographs. Summer weddings with longer days often net more photographs than winter ones as people are outside longer and not confined to a smaller area where you will only want so many of everyone talking and drinking.
Will we meet prior to the wedding?
Yes. I aim to meet all couples prior to their big day to discuss what is important to them and what pictures they would like me to capture. Whilst I can never guarantee every photo can be captured on the day, I will do all I can to capture what you wanted me to do so when we originally met. If meeting up prior is made difficult due to distance we can Skype and chat just as easily that way.
What will you wear?
I usually wear all black, so that I do not stand out from how amazing you and your guests will look. I am discreet and unobtrusive in my style and like to blend in to the surroundings. However, if you have a particular dress code you would like me to adhere to, then please discuss this and I will always do my best to accommodate, within reason.
What if your camera breaks?
I have two professional grade cameras that I bring to every wedding, and even a third back up camera, which I learnt everything I know about camera’s on. I have several lenses which I utilise according to the needs on the day, and use flashes to ensure even your twilight wedding is appropriately lit for beautiful photos.
What type of ceremony’s do you cover?
I will, and have photographed all types of Weddings and Civil Ceremonies; small and intimate, or large and flamboyant. I have worked in dark churches, bright summer houses and twilight ceremonies, each of which present their own specific needs to bring out the best in the pictures, and which I will ensure I do for you. I have no specific preference to what type of ceremonies I do, I just love to capture the love two people have for each other on the biggest day of their lives. Each wedding is individual to the couple and I make sure I keep it that way, you wont find me insisting on the same cheesy poses at each wedding.
What locations have you worked in?
I have done weddings in most of the Wirral and surrounding areas ceremonial settings including both beautiful Town Halls on the Wirral, Leasowe Castle, Inglewood Manor, St Andrew’s Church Meols, St Hildeburgh’s Parish Church Hoylake, St George’s Hall Liverpool, St Mary’s Church Eastham, Christ the King Bromborough, Mere Brook House, Brook Mollington Banastre, Ness Gardens and Sheldrakes. With more venues booked up for 2020 including The Boat Museum, Brook Hall and Rossett Hall, that list will continue to grow and I can’t wait.
Are you insured?
Yes I have full public liability and indemnity insurance. Most venues will insist on seeing certificates before I work there, and I am more than happy to oblige and send a copy over.
